Junior Mentors Leadership Development Program

The Junior Mentor program fosters leadership by providing high school girls with training and  opportunities to help plan, facilitate and lead sessions at the annual Empowerment Conference and other events. This hands-on experience in leadership is invaluable, helping the Junior Mentors cultivate important life skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. They also serve as positive role models, inspiring the younger girls with their own stories of growth and the challenges they’ve overcome

Role of Junior Mentors:

  • Help organize and lead future workshops and events

  • Bring fresh ideas to the program

  • Facilitate discussions

  • Lead presentations

  • Encourage the participation of younger girls

  • Share their wisdom

By engaging with younger girls, Jr. Mentors create a supportive community that  encourages participation and personal growth. This unique approach not only enhances  the workshops but also builds leadership skills and confidence, inspiring the next  generation of leaders.

Training and Coaching

Junior Mentors participate in a 4-hour training session and receive coaching from Adult Mentors throughout the planning and delivery of the Empowerment Conference. During this process, they develop essential skills in public speaking, facilitation, and organization, all while increasing their self-esteem and confidence in their abilities to explore and fulfill other challenging roles.
