4GIRLS' SAFE SPACE. The 4GIRLS' space is inclusive and we believe everyone deserves to feel safe. You commit to being part of our empowering community that promotes kindness, trust, and understanding so that everyone feels secure, both physically and emotionally.
SHOW RESPECT. We value each other's ideas, opinions, and uniqueness. Let's be kind, listen, and treat everyone with respect throughout the conference.
RESPECT PERSONAL BOUNDARIES. No touching, hugging, etc. without permission. We all have different comfort zones, so let’s be mindful of each other’s personal space and ask before hugging.
NO SNACKS FROM HOME/OUTSIDE. We'll have a light breakfast on Saturday and provide lunch on both Saturday and Sunday, along with healthy snacks during the day. You agree not to bring food from home unless it's part of your special diet or you have food allergies. Snacks brought from outside will be kept for you to take home after the workshop. Bring a water bottle, there is a refillable station on-site.
HONOR AGREEMENTS. You agree to follow these conference guidelines. If there is an issue or someone feels uncomfortable, let’s talk it out. If agreements are not honored, we will need to involve parents to ensure everyone’s well-being.
RESPECTFUL AND INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION. You agree to communicate respectfully, using words that uplift and inspire. We agree to promote inclusivity and to use language that is welcoming. We celebrate our differences and respect the uniqueness of each participant.
PARENT/GUARDIAN INVOLVEMENT. If 4GIRLS staff notices anyone not following the agreements, we’ll have a chat with you first. If we need to talk to you again about not following the agreements, then we will contact parent(s)/guardian(s) to come pick you up from the conference.
