About yareli

Yareli A. Alfaro joined 4GIRLS as a participant nearly ten years ago, in 2017. She went on to serve as a Junior Mentor throughout her high school years. As a university freshman, she was asked to take on the role of Junior Mentor Lead and has been managing the program ever since. She became a board member in 2025, fulfilling one of her long-term goals.
 

Yareli is passionate about education and about building confidence in children from a young age. She believes in equal opportunity for all and strives to provide a safe space for students to blossom. She is currently an undergraduate student at California State University Long Beach, working toward her B.A. in Liberal Studies to become an elementary school teacher.

In her free time, she enjoys de-stressing in the pool and loves any form of water activity. Once a competitive swimmer, Yareli now coaches a swim team and finds joy in passing on her knowledge. She also loves to write creatively and read whenever she finds the time.
